This is interesting, because I tend to actually go the opposite way : the fact that I respect a lot and really like some characters makes them all the more interesting to draw mc or hentai of.
Althrough this turns into problems at some points, like the fact that to make an interesting mc story, I need characters I find interesting, otherwise there's no motivation on my end. Another issue is that I have OC's that I didn't create for this, but that I end up picturing in mc scenarios. So I draw them for kinks but I can't post them, because that's just not how I want people to get their first impression of them.

And coming up with intersting characters whose purpose is to be in an mc story in really challenging. At least it is for me : / So I'm always searching for solutions and trying stuff to overcome that, we'll see how that turns out I guess.

It was the hardest thing I have ever written because it was my fantasies poured onto the page.

I was horny the whole time making it. Even now, I still go back to reading it. There are sections I wish I wrote differently, because I am an even better writer now, but I still get off reading it.

For me, I cannot write or render any erotica without being interested in the subject matter. For example, a friend of mine paid me to write her an erotica fanfic of Danganronpa. She wanted to have yaoi and other stuff in there. I couldn't write a single word. I just paid her back.

That is honestly the reason why I am hesitant to do commissions. My fantasies and pleasures are different from those of a lot of other people. Erotica: hypnosis or MC for me.

With my ADHD, its POSSIBLE for me to hyperfocus enough so that i can write the erotica. Im also only basing this off a handful of times i actually succeeded and don't truly know if that holds up to scrutiny. Especially when stacked against the number of failed attempts.

But I appreciate that you understand. Shit is HARD.

Even in my regular writing, my brain will sometimes go "hey this scene COULD be horny if you thought of it like THIS" and I will immediately lose focus and want to jerk off. It's pretty bad.


(I don't know if hyperfocus is being used correctly here, but I have experienced "hyperfocus" on jerking off and let me tell you it is the absolute fucking worst? It contributes to a lot of executive dysfunction)

For a lot of people being a lewd artist is just a job. Some of them actually hate what they do, but it sells well! Sex sells, even if it's just a drawing, what else can I really say about that?

Some of them love what they do though. I imagine that there are some that do like the art they do in passionate ways. That's really none of my business though, they can do their own thing.
